Honeycomb Socks

These crocheted socks are worked from the cuff down. The foot is worked in a split single crochet which provides a soft, cushiony feel. These intermediate socks use the honeycomb pattern.

Finished Size:
7¼ (9, 10¾)" leg circumference. Foot length is adjustable. Socks shown measure 9" in circumference.
Yarn:
Spud & Chloë Fine (80% superwash wool, 20% silk; 248 yd [227 m]/2¼ oz [65 g]): #7803 dachshund (brown; MC), 2 hanks; #7802 clementine (orange; CC), 1 hank. Yarn distributed by Blue Sky Alpacas.
Hook:
Size D/3 (3.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
Stitch markers (m); yarn needle.
Gauge:
20 sts and 20 rows = 4" in honeycomb patt; 15 sts and 20 rows = 3" in split sc.
