Finished Size: 6½" long and 2½" wide not including ribbon.
Yarn:
Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet Thread Size 10 (100% cotton; 350 yd [320 m]): #475 dusty rose or #480 delft blue, 1 ball. Yarn distributed by Coats & Clark.
Hook:
Size 1.65 mm steel crochet hook.
Notions:
About 12" of ¼" wide ribbon.
Gauge:
19 sts and 10 rows = 2" in dc.

I haven't made the item yet but the thought occurred to me that, if lenthened, it would make a wonderful garter for a bride.  When my daughters married years ago, I made crocheted garters for each of them in their wedding colors.  It was a unique gift that each one treasured.  For wearing on that big day, a bit of elastic cording can be used along with the ribbon to ensure that the garter stays in place until the proper removal by the groom. -- Sue Ellen Hooper, Humble, TX
