Belted capes, such as this one, are my favorite type of wrap to wear. They have a polished and structured look and are visually slimming due to the ratio of the wide “sleeves” to the cinched waist. In addition, the large “sleeves” create a lovely dramatic effect as you move. This top-down raglan continues on to a flowing cape with belt holes and a pretty lace edging that is joined perpendicularly to the lower edge. The front bands are created with a very simple single crochet bead pattern. Wear it with or without a belt to create a variety of different looks. This pattern can be found in Kristin Omdahl's Crochet So Fine.
