My daughter is a HUGE Spongey fan. I made this for her. It was a lot of fun to make. I created it without any kind of pattern. I think it turned out pretty good!

THANK YOU! I really dont have a pattern. I will post the yarn used and give kind of an idea of what I did. I made the background (yellow, white, brown and dark brown, for the belt). Then I crocheted all the individual pieces and sewed them on with clear sewing thread. The blanket is not large. I will take measurements this weekend and post them. Most of the yarn was just Red Heart Super saver. It is my least favorite yarn but I had the colors available. Almost all of it was done in a double crochet.

This came out great! Awesome job! Did you like crochet one big yellow square and then crochet the things on top of the yellow and sew? like the eyes for instance, make a white circle and sew on top, then a blue circle and then sew on top, etc? you are very very creative! It looks exactly like sponge Bob. I would like to make one for my grandchildren if you don't mind using your method and pattern. Thank you very much. Sabrina

Do you by any chance remember the color of the browns you used for the pants and belt. Also is that a bright yellow (Red Heart color) for the body? My sight isnt the best and would love to make this. Your help would be appreciated.

You did a beautiful job on designing and making this! I'm sorry so many people keep asking for the pattern after you told them that you did not have one, and gave them the overall directions of how you went about making it. It was frustrating for me, and I was not the one who designed the afghan. However, knowing all these people love what you designed must be a super feeling, and that would top any frustrations from these people who obviously did not read the entire list of responses. What you did, sounds simple enough. I'm not sure why people want the measurements, just make it whatever size works for them. I love what you did. Isn't it nice to know so many other people do too. Keep up the great work.
