Intriguing construction is paired with a clever Tunisian-stitch pattern in this diminutive Eliza's Felted Bag, which can be an evening bag or a child's purse, depending on color choice.

Designer: Rhonda "TurquoizBlue" Davis
Finished Size: 7¼" by 20" (before felting); each square = about 7¼" by 7¼" (before felting); 5½" by 16½" (felted); each square about 5½" by 5½" (felted).
Yarn: Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted (85% wool, 15% mohair, 190 yd [173 m]/4 oz [113 g]): #M-26 medieval red (A) and M-182 regal purple (B), 1 skein each.
Hook: Size L/11 (8 mm) Tunisian hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle.
Gauge: 13 sts and 18 rows = 4" in st patt before felting.
