My two-year old daughter just loves ducks and this tiny mallard was designed with her in mind. He stands about 3 inches tall and was made with 100% acrylic yarn.

I submitted him for the 2012 amigurumi calendar contest. Wish him luck!

This is so cute! I want to learn to crochet. How could I get the pattern for this adorable toy? I'm going to be a gramma next March and would like to make it as a baby gift..

@rosemariewg - I do have the pattern written down, but it's not yet formatted as I would like to have it when I actually sell my patterns. I will definitely put a note on this page when the pattern is ready. In the mean time, you can also check out my Ravelry pattern shop ( http://www.ravelry.com/stores/the-itsy-bitsy-spider )

Thanks for the kind comment! You've really inspired me to get to work on getting that pattern ready for sale!

P.S. The ducky did not make it for the crochwt calendar :-( There were some really amazing entries though and I wish them all the best.

I just found your darling duck - please post the pattern so I can buy it - I have a 2 year old grandson in Nigeria who is duck-crazy and I'd love to make this for him.  Thanks!

I'd really love to purchase the Mallard Pattern if you have it ready. I'm on Ravalry too (JUST joined) WillowDreamer is my handle.  I see the fairy tree and the very cute purple monkey but no mallard.  Do you think that might be ready soon?

Is there an available pattern for this duck? My friend has asked me to make a foresty mobile for her baby and really wanted mallard ducks to be part of it, they are very hard to come across.

Thanks,

Shannon
