I started making this for my daughter. She saw it in the magazine and really liked it! I'm using rich chocolate brown and light pink yarns (she loves pink and brown) that are 60% wool, 30% baby alpaca and 10% angora, so the scarf will be soft and warm. The pattern is great fun to do. Not too difficult if you mind your p's and q's. I did make one block with the recommended size hook and decided it was too big so I unraveled it and tried a 3.25mm hook. It's closer to the gauge and I like the smaller size better. I'll try to post a picture when I finish it.

Well, I've gotten started. I still have a way to go on this but here is a picture. This yarn is a little thicker I think than what was used. I'm really enjoying the pattern. It's not monotonous at all but also it isn't too complex. Just complex enough to be interesting without being too difficult.

I'm going slowly on this scarf, but I've started seventh block and hope to finish this in time for my daughter's visit later this month.
