2nd one of these doilies I've made
This is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
How do I get doilies pattern to down load. they are so beautiful, I just want to do all of them
I have also made this doily using copper metalic thread. It is the prettiest doily I ever made. I bought the book the pattern was in just for this doily. I would love to see more of your work. I am looking for another intricate oval or oblong. Anyone have any nice ones?
That must have been very pretty in the copper metallic - is that thread hard to work with? I've never used it before. I have alot of things posted on here (pics) - not so many doilies as just other things. And oval doilies are harder to find patterns for it seems - they are almost always round. I did find one that I think I am going to try that is filet type that is more of an oblong one -
I found a pretty pineapple oval doily pattern. I don't like to do pineapples as they seem so common, but this one is an exception.
Yes, the metallic was a little difficult to work with as it isn't as flexible...but well worth the effort. I will try to get a picture of it and post. I have a variegated metalic I ordered from Ebay to do the pineapple oval. The metallics come from Turkey but since my bedroom is done is copper, gold and rust, I opted for them.
I love unusual colors and patterns.
Well, and then someone pointed out to me that this doily has pineapples in it - and I'm not a huge fan of them either - but I love this one. I would love to see photos of the mettalic thread ones - they sound so pretty - I will have to look on ebay for that type of thread - I was thinking I hadn't seen it anywhere. It should look really pretty done in that thread in your bedroom.
Has anyone else had problems with this doily? I can't seem to get the stitch count to work out.
where is it not working out - about the only place I had to adjust was where the opening in the ends was - it didn't seem to be centered exactly - otherwise no problems = have made it 2 times
