I continue to look for the pattern for this beautiful afghan to no avail! When I find it I have a 'out of publication' or 'sold' notice. If anyone would be so kind as to point me to someone that would be able to help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

I too really love this design BUT I can't resign myself to pay $4.99 to ship a $ 2.50 leaflet when I only want the one pattern (out of 4 patterns). Or order $80.00 in merchandise to get free shipping..... :(

lanesgma wrote

The afghan on the front cover of the booklet is also beautiful - I've made it several times also - I used to email this pattern to people but then the admins of this group told me I wasn't supposed to do that :(

I totally understand. I am trying to figure out the first few rows and then maybe I can get the rest from the picture?...lol

lanesgma wrote

You have to make the points first - they are all separate and then the 1st row connects all of them.  I think my email is in my profile on here if you want to email me maybe I can give you some tips that will help

I sure would never have figured out the biginning! I sent you a friend request because I couldn't find your email address. Thanks for helping me figure out the beginning for this pattern. The blue afghan on your bio page is also beautiful and I have a similar pattern for that one. You do fabulous work!

This pattern is stunning!  I expecially like the shade of purple you used.  I would love to make an afghan like this in aqua, my daughters favorite color. I would love a copy of the pattern.  Thanks

Amazon 'outside vendor' has 1 remaining copy of this pattern. I have the pattern and have had it for years. I copied mine into a PDF format so I wouldn't lose it. It is a beautiful afghan and works up very easily.  I know the local library also has this booklet of 14 pages with muliple pineapple afghans. You might check your local library, a used bookstore, the backshelf at your local fabric store or craft store.  I purchased mine from Michaels, it was about $4.99 at the time and now the outside vendor at Amazon wants almost $1000.00 for the last remaining copy. I have contacted the publisher about 'sharing' my copy since this is out of print, but I haven't heard back from them as yet. The most I could do with permission is email a PDF copy, but without permission I can't chance being sued by the publisher. also check eBay and Etsy as I know they have out of print crochet patterns.  If I hear from the publisher and they give permission for duplication, I will repost and offer to email to the first 10 people to contact me via email. beyond that, I can't invest more time. Hope this helps.  I haven't checked ebay or etsy, they may have copies.

Added note:  I did find this on Amazon as a larger book of Afghans titled:

Leisure Arts Afghans For All Seasons: Book 2

The book is $9.62 and includes several lovely afghan patterns.  I'm tempted to purchse it myself for a few of the other patterns.

I suspect there will be additional postage costs, but this afghan is WORTH IT!  Its beautiful and an easy pattern to master for the average crocheter.  Hope this helps someone who really want this.
