I thoroughly enjoyed my first crochet-a-long Big Smile I chose some thread that I had in my stash. I used 2 balls of Aunt Lydia's classic crochet thread in classic silver for size 36 and was glad I checked my gauge, as I ended up using a 1.25mm hook. Overall found the pattern easy to interpret ( as I made the smaller size didn't encounter the problems with not having the right number of motifs). I really like the cut around the neck and arms it's delicate and feminine. I like the idea that you could dress up the shrug by using different textures or colours/sparkle of thread. I think I'm going to make another one. This could even be a good smmer project for the road, as it's not heavy and is small enough to put in your bag, to crochet just about anywhere!

Your shrug turned out beautifully katskie! I have fallen in love with this pattern as well. It's so lacey and delicate and makes a fabulous travel project.
