Catherine Wheel stitch creates a sunny crocheted headband to hold your tresses. This easy accessory can be worked with any weight yarn or number of rows for fun modifications.

Finished Size:
22" head circumference, 2½" wide at center front.
Yarn:
Nazli Gelin Garden size 10 (100% mercerized cotton; 308 yd [282 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #700-06 (red; MC); #700-04 (yellow; CC); 1 ball each. Yarn distributed by Universal Yarn.
Hook Size:
7 (1.65 mm) steel hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
Yarn needle; elastic hair band; st markers (m; optional).
Gauge:
36 st and 56 rows = 4" in sc.
