Nesting Bowls

Five sizes of bowls, worked in linked crochet, nest together until you're ready to use one to hold your latest project, crochet tools, and those little yarn ends.

Finished Size:
Bowl 1: 2½" diameter, 2" tall; Bowl 2: 4" diameter, 2¼" tall; Bowl 3: 5¼" diameter, 2½" tall; Bowl 4: 7" diameter, 3" tall; Bowl 5: 8½" diameter, 3½" tall; Lid: 9" diameter.
Yarn:
Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky, (85% wool, 15% mohair; 125 yd [114 m]/4 oz [113 g]): M-80 blue blood red (CC1), M-22 autumn harvest (CC2), M-174 wild mustard (CC3), M-97 rust (CC4); 1 skein each.
Hook Size:
L/11 (8 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
Yarn needle; st marker (m).
Gauge:
Rnds 1-3 = 4". Gauge is not critical but will affect the finished size of your bowls. To make a gauge swatch, crochet the first 3 rnds of the base and measure.
