Begin at the pointy tip of this retro crocheted cap, letting the self-striping sock yarn work its magic as you gradually increase to end with the perfect size. Finish with knit or crochet ribbing.

Finished Size:
17 (19, 20, 22)" circumference at lower edge to fit toddler (child, small adult, large adult); finished length of 18 (22½, 24, 26½)". Size shown is 19".
Yarn:
Patons Kroy Socks Jacquards (75% washable wool, 25% nylon; 166 yd [152 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #1101 summer moss jacquard, 2 (2, 3, 3) skeins. Yarn distributed by Spinrite Yarns.
Hook Size: H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
St marker (m); 16" size 3 (3 mm) circular knitting needle; Yarn needle; sharp trimming scissors; cardboard for making pom-pom.
Gauge:
20 sts and 24 rnds = 4" in sc. Note: Work swatch in the rnd as gauge will vary from sc worked back and forth in rows.
