Introduction

Here's a quick and easy crochet pattern for my fellow crafters.

Materials List

Worsted weight yarn

Poly fill stuffing

yarn needle

size H or 5MM crochet hook

Black felt for eyes, or black yarn can be used.

The Pattern

1. Ch 2, slip stitch to join.

2. Ch 1, 6 sc, slip stitch to join

3. ch 1, 2 sc in each stitch until end of the row, slip stitch to join

4. ch 1, 1 sc in first stitch, 2 sc in second stitch, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join

5. ch 1, 1 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in second stitch, 2 sc in third stitch, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join,

6. ch 1, 1 sc in st until 4th st, 2 sc in 4th stch, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join

7. ch 1, 1 sc in st until 5th st, 2 sc in 5th stch, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join

8. ch 1, 1 sc in st until 6th st, 2 sc in 6th stch, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join

9. ch 1, 1 sc in every stitch until end, slip stitch to join

10. continue step 9 for rounds 10-18, slip stitch to join

19. ch 1, 1 sc until 3rd stch, decrease by 2 stchs, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join

20. ch 1, 1 sc until 2nd stch, decrease by 2 stchs, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join

21. ch 1, 1 sc until 2nd stch, decrease by 2 stchs, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join

22. At the end of the row, change to white, ch 1, and sc in each stitch, slip stitch to join.

23-26 sc in each stch, leave about 10 inches of yarn to connect bottom of mushroom.

 

Bottom and Mushroom Dots (Make 4-6 depending on what look you want)

 

1. Ch 2, slip stitch to join

2. Ch 1, 6 sc, slip stitch to join

3. ch 1, 2 sc in each stitch until end of the row, slip stitch to join

4. ch 1, 1 sc in first stitch, 2 sc in second stitch, repeat until end of row, slip stitch to join, bind off

 

Start stuffing mushroom with poly fill until shape is solid, sew the bottom of mushroom together using yarn needle and whip stitch. The "edge" of the mushroom is created by using slip stitch on top of the mushroom top, the look can be created around the top of row 18 or 19.
