A deep V-neck accentuates the bias stripes on this shell with empire seams and a delicate cap sleeve. At once soft and structured, this crochet top falls to a handkerchief hem at the peaks of the bias.

 

Designer: Beth Nielsen

Finished Size: 32 (34, 36, 38, 40)" bust circumference. Garment shown measures 32", modeled with 2" negative ease.

Yarn: Patons Silk Bamboo (70% viscose from bamboo, 30% silk; 102 yd [93 m]/2 oz [65 g]): #85510 apricot (MC), 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) skeins; #244085 almond (CC), 2 (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins.

Hook Size: H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn needle.

Gauge: 16 sts and 8 rows = 4".

Can anyone help...I am having a lotof trouble with this pattern.  Its really simple and thats whats making me nuts!  I cant find where I'm going wrong.  How many stitches are there supposed to be in row 8 when finished....I cant get row 9 to have the right number of stitches.  I'm really having trouble.......are there any corrections to this pattern?

also in need of help on this pattern. i picked this pattern because it is easy and i just can not get my 3 dc in one dc to match up in the second round! please help!!!!!!

I need corrections for this pattern.  Row 9 and then all of the following rows, make the front and back of the pattern uneven, when they rsupposed to be even. Please help with this pattern.

I did the lower part and didn't have a problem with it, although I think it would need to be longer before doing the decreases, but I do love how it fits my body and how the decreases are all in the right places.

My problem is in the bodice part!!!

I'm making the largest size, and all sizes start the bodice with 74 chains.... I finished the first bodice piece and joined the front end to the lower body and there is NO WAY that I can join the back and it will fit me. With the top on, the bodice gets to my shoulder blades and I need like 6 more inches in lenght of the bodice so I can join it to the lower body and so it would fit properly.

Is there any corrections on the number of initial chains of the bodice?

A smaller person and a bigger person don't measure the same over the shoulder in the same way they don't measure the same around the chest... right?
