Crocheted seamlessly in a stitch pattern called Acacia, with loopy strands reminiscent of the thorns of some acacia shrubs, this pull-on skirt features a drawstring waist. It is slim through the high hip, then six gores flare out to short-row points for a dramatically full hem.

Designer: Doris Chan

Finished Size: 24 (30, 36, 42)" waist circumference; 60 (66, 72, 78)" hem; 24" long, including waistband. Garment shown measures 30" waist circumference, modeled with 5½" ease.

Yarn: NaturallyCaron.com Spa (75% microdenier acrylic, 25% rayon from bamboo; 251 yd [230 m]/3 oz [85 g]): #0006 berry frappe, 3 (4, 5, 5) skeins.

Hook Sizes: G/7 (4.5 mm); J/10 (6 mm; for belt). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: St markers (m); yarn needle.

Gauge: 4 st reps and 8 rows = 4" in acacia st patt with smaller hook, after blocking.
