Two crochet doilies, worked in sturdy cotton, are used as a stencil to create a sun-ready tank. It's as much fun to make as it is to wear.

Designer: Brenda K. B. Anderson

Finished Size: Large motif measures 11" diameter. Small motif measures 9" diameter.

Yarn: Lion Brand Yarn Lion Cotton (100% cotton; 236 yd [215 m]/5 oz [142 g]): 152, espresso, less than half of a skein.

Hook Size: I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn needle; purchased tank top (For best results use a tank that is at least 95% cotton and keep in mind that darker colors will show the most dramatic results); small spray bottle; household liquid bleach; enough old towels folded and stacked to fill tank top; plastic trash bags; masking tape; rubber gloves; bucket of water, one 8 oz bottle of hydrogen peroxide 3%.

Gauge: Gauge is not critical for this project.
