Constructed from the top down, shapely columns separating graceful crochet pineapple patterns create a piece that moves elegantly from bathing-suit cover-up to a crochet top that looks great with a skirt or slim capris.

 

Designer: Tammy Hildebrand

Finished Size: 30 (33¼, 36¾, 43¼, 46¾, 50)" bust circumference to f t 34 (37¼, 40¾, 47¼, 50¾, 54)" bust. Garment shown measures 30" modeled with 6" negative ease.

Yarn: Cascade Cotton Rich DK (64% cotton, 36% nylon; 136 yd (124 m)/1¾ oz (50 g); ): #5487 green, 6 (6, 7, 8, 8, 9) hanks.

Hook Size: G/6 (4 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn needle.

Gauge: 3 V-sts and 6 rows/rnds = 4" in V-st Patt.

Love this, particularly all the variations...  the possibilities are endless!... the numbers on the schematic in the magazine seem misplaced.  Am I right?  Is there a corrected schematic?

Hi,

Yes, we are aware of the measurement misplacement. The project editor is working on a new shcematic. But for the correct measurments you can just swap the bust and armhole as well as the two height measurements.

The Capri Cover was in the Interweave Crochet Summer 2012 issue. You can find the digital copy of the magazine or the physical copy both in the Crochet Me shop. You can also download just the Capri Cover pattern. This is a really fun and gorgeous pattern.
