This is wonderful, not to mention a trigger for other ideas!!!  I love motitfs.   How does one purchase the yarn,  It is an overseas company.

Given the softness of this yarn, I would hesitate to substitute this since the finer yarns are mercerized.  Webs may be an option.

Please advise where the yarn (or an acceptable alternative)  can be purchased in US .

I have tried the Shakun website several time.  Ugh!!!

I, too, cannot find this yarn!   I also question, IS it gauge 2 yarn?  The sample photos of yarns used, on page 94, this yarn does not match the other size 2 yarns.  Instead looks to be the same gauge as the size 0 yarn above it.  Crochet hook size D is also quite small for a 2 yarn.  We really need to know exactly what yarns would be easily substituted since we cannot get this yarn.  Even the Lotus website does not have this yarn available.  Please, H E L P ! us!  I REALLY want to make this beautiful dress!   It would be great in the future to list good substitutes for all projects.

I wanted this dress.  Mine is made from bedspread cotton--sixe 10--using a c hook. It looks quite good.  The  front (or back) I photographed and put in GOTATRUMP on Ravelry.  I  have 5 blocks to go and then the neckline.  It should be done to wear in a week for a special occasion.

The Pattern is found in the Summer/August 2012 issue of Interweave Crochet Magazine. Or I suppose you can subscribe here and buy the pattern.   I am going to try it with Crochet Thread size 3, off white, E and F hooks.  And I'm only going to make a short version.  I love the motif.
