Inspired by the sassy suit of Star Trek's Lieutenant Uhura, this flattering crochet dress is worked top down with a quiver-stitch bodice. Post stitches outline the gores of the swirly skirt, which is easily lengthened or shortened.

Designer: Doris Chan

Finished Size: 30 (32, 36, 40, 44)" bust circumference; length at back neck 31 (31, 31¾, 33¼, 33¾)". Note: Fabric is stretchy and can be worn with up to 2" negative ease; dress may also hang longer on the body. Garment shown measures 32", modeled with no ease.

Yarn: South West Trading Company Oasis; (100% soysilk; 240 yd [220 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #502 rose, 5 (6, 7, 7, 8) balls.

Hook Size: G/6 (4 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: St markers (m); safety pin; yarn needle.

Gauge: 12 sts and 8 rnds = 3" in skirt patt, blocked; 12 sts = 3" and 8 rows = 2¾" in quiver patt, blocked.

If you look to the right of the top picture, you can almost see "GO HERE", click on "HERE" and it takes you to a page you can order the Interweave Magazine with this pattern in it.  The area on the right side of the top picture on my page is only partly there.  It took me a long time to figure it out.  Hope this helps.
