Miniature hearts line up in this simple two-color cowl that mixes post stitches and basic crochet stitches. Although it looks like intarsia, you work only one color at a time. Lengthen it to form an infinity scarf, or shorten it for a gaiter.

Designer: Linda Permann

Finished Size: 27½" neck circumference and 7½" tall.

Yarn: Manos del Uraguay Silk Blend, (30% silk, 70% merino; 150 yd [135 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): 3038 aster (A), 2 skeins; #3031 nickel (B), 1 skein. Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.

Hook Size: 7 (4.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Stitch markers (m), yarn needle.

Gauge: 19 sts and 10 rows = 6" × 4" in patt. Worked in the rnd, flattened tube-shaped swatch measures about 3¼" wide by 4" tall.
