When the children were small and we always had a Poorly Blanket that they would snuggle into on the sofa they were when feeling unwell or tired. Now they are grown I am making a blanket for each of them so they can have their very own ‘Poorly Blanket’s’ in their respective homes.

The boys both surf so I wanted to make them throws that would remind them of their time on the beach and in the sea so I decided on a ripple or wave pattern and picked a range of blues and greens to reflect the colours of the sea and the shore.

I am so sorry to all you lovely folk who have tried to view this project previously but we had some internet problems when I was trying to upload it last time. I am really grateful to all who take an interest and feel so bad that it was not there to view. I love looking to see what you are all doing and find this site a huge inspiration. You can read more about this blanket on my blog post Surf and Seaside Ripple Pattern Afghan
