Tie off
Fold the circle in half so that you have a half moon shape.  Join yarn with a sc through both thicknesses at the right corner of the half moon.  Continue to sc through both thicknesses around the top arch of the ear.  Sl st and tie off when you reach the left corner of the ear leaving a 6" tail.
Using the 6" tail and a yarn needle, sew the ear to the top side of the hat.  Position ears approximately 1" apart.
