Filet crochet + popcorns + beads add up to a slip of fabric that hugs and shapes and molds to make any outfit greater than the sum of its parts.  Worked from top down, this shawl narrows as you work it to the beaded, fringed end that adds enough weight and sparkle to make you a star pupil.

Hi.  I just began this project and am curious what is considered the right side / wrong side.  I have just begun row 2 which has popcorn blocks that need to be dealt with differently depending on what side I am working on.  I couldn't find anything mentioning this in the pattern.  Thanks!

Hi Teresa W,

I'm not sure what you mean by "dealt with differently." There are popcorn stitches face both sides of the shawl and you should be able to simply follow the chart as is. Please let me know if you are still having difficulty.

The popcorn stitch instruction says to insert hook from front to back on right side and front back to front on wrong side.

I need to know what rows are right side (odd or even)??  I don't see it indicated in the pattern, unless I'm missing it.

I just spoke with the Project Editor. The even numbered rows are RS rows. I hope that helps.

Hello, I saw this shawl in the magazine and started the project a few days ago.  Now I am running into a technical problem or editorial issue, and am seeking for help.

The pattern indicated that to chain 476 to begin with, it was all good until now, which I am at row 17.  There should be 15 triangles at the very bottom but 476 chains only got me to 14 triangles.  So, column 79 land on the row between two triangles but not like what the pattern shows that in the middle of the the 8th trangle.  What should I do now?  Thanks.

I purchased this pattern because it looks awesome. Not a fan of blueprint crochet, and didn't realize that is what this was. Can't figure it out for the life of me! Give me written instructions anyday - do they exist?
