This fabulous bandanna is an excellent introduction to Bruges crochet. With just eleven rows, this project is an easy evening project. Note that the headband will stretch some after you wear it a bit, but if you want to make it larger, just add another row of Bruges; to cinch it up, eliminate a row. After you make one, you'll want to make many more!

DESIGNER April Garwood

FINISHED SIZE 6½" width and 16" circumference (will stretch to fit a range of head sizes).

YARN Schulana Merino-Cotton 135 (distributed by Skacel) (53% merino, 47% cotton; 148 yd [135 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #63 aqua, 1 skein.

HOOK SIZE F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTIONS About 2" diameter elastic hairband; yarn needle.

GAUGE 3 columns of 4 rows each in main body st patt = 4½" × 4¾".

The design is super cute!  But the pattern is poorly written.
