Introduction

Mr. Octi is a super cute octopus with a unique constriction. He is very easy to make, and there is no sewing involved! He is also a large toy, and is made to be soft and lovable. It is, however, easy to make him smaller by using a smaller hook and thinner yarn. He’s the perfect toy for the smaller people in your life! Plus, with thick yarn and a large hook, Mr. Octi works up very quickly! He’s easily a project you can finish in a day! He’s perfect for last minute gifts.

Construction and Legs:
Step 1: Place stitch markers every five stitches along the edge of the body. You should
have 8 markers placed. These will tell you where to make the legs.
Step 2: At each of the stitch markers, make the sc to join both pieces and then ch 12. Sc
in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch back to the body and sc into the next "joining"
sc (that joins the bottom to the body).
Step 3: (sc back up the leg, sc down the leg, sc into next “joining” sc) x 2
Step 4: sc into next “joining” st
Repeat steps 2-4 at each stitch marker.

Step 5: Once complete, join using sl st, bind off, and weave in any remaining ends.
