Barbara Summers

My Bio

I was taught to crochet by my Polish mother-in-law Henryka, in 1973 whilst I was residing in Poland for a year... and over the years it has grown into a much loved hobby...  in recent years I sold my creations at markets in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, Australia and in Spitalfields, London, UK.

Today, I reside again in the UK and spend my time travelling and simply enjoying life....  I live with my husband in Whitstable, a seaside town of Kent in the UK, and spend my free time designing simple and practical crochet and hand knit patterns.  I write my patterns in USA American crochet terms and UK British crochet terms.  I have been very fortunate to have my crochet designs published in Inside Crochet magazine and with DMC Creative World Ltd.
