I picked up crochet during the winter of 2007 when I wanted to make myself some wrist warmers to wear while I play violin in cold places. My mom taught me all I needed to know and I found a pattern online. Then, in April of 2008, I graduated with my bachelors degree and had decided that I didn't want to work over the summer. In a bout of boredom and with an urge to create, I bought three crochet books off Amazon.ca and started crocheting like crazy. One of them was the Crochet Me book, and I thought the patterns were so fabulous that I'd join the site. And so here I am.
I'm currently working on my PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. Besides crochet, I enjoy drawing, web design, playing violin, and rocking out with my band, Doppelgänger Effekt, who unfortunately had to break up in August 2008.
