I am a 51 year old mother of 3 grown sons and work as an accountant living in central VA. I learned to crochet at age 9. My grandmother taught me. I have crocheted on and off since then. However, I became a grandmother to little girl almost 4 years ago and have been making things for her ever since. I started with several afghans and booties and then got brave and made her Christening gown. It was my greatest project yet! Her mother was in tears when she opened the package at her shower. I work with a small group at my church creating afghans for the local domestic violence shelter.
