I'm 24 years old and I live in Chicago. I taught myself to crochet in early college, pretty randomly, with this light blue yarn I would never pick out now. I used to make up patterns, before I discovered that (can you believe it) other people will make up patterns for you!!!! I think I am still better at just making stuff up as I go along, but there are just way more options when you learn from other people.
Also, my biggest problem these days is that everyone knits. Which means that we can still hang out, but if I'm stuck I have no one to ask questions to. So that's pretty much why I'm here.
I do paint my nails a lot. I like to keep them super-short and bright. Which looks great while I'm crocheting.
